Working Mechanism

  • Yellow Jacket vacuum pump's primary function is to adjust the pressure in a confined space to produce a complete or partial vacuum either chemically or mechanically. The pressure will always try to balance across attached regions as gas molecules flow from high to low, filling the whole area of that volume.
  • Thus, if a new low-pressure space is introduced, gas will naturally flow from the high-pressure area to the new area having low-pressure.
  • Notice this vacuum process is created not by ?sucking? gases but by forcing molecules.
  • Vacuum pumps effectively move gas molecules from one area to the next to create a vacuum by changing high and low-pressure states.

Features

  • Yellow Jacket vacuum pumps have heavy-duty bearings & rotors and in-built cooling fins to cool the pump, improving performance.
  • They feature a broad mouth oil reservoir port for comfortable, cleaner filling and a large brass oil drain for easy admission to rapid oil changes.
  • These vacuum pumps have an isolation valve that permits for oil changes without losing vacuum in the unit and features a gas ballast valve that keeps the oil uninfected during the evacuation of a wet system.
  • They come with a suitable shoulder strap for effortless transport over long stretches with in-built mount points.
  • They come with an inner intake check valve that stops oil back up into the unit during a power loss.
  • These Yellow Jacket vacuum pumps feature heavy-duty steel handles that provide comfortable carrying and a lifting hook for lifting pumps to rooftops.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do 2 stage vacuum pumps differ from 1 stage vacuum pumps?

A two-stage vacuum pump has two rotors and vanes. The first stage creates a vacuum and the second stage cleans the system, directing to a deeper ultimate vacuum level. As an outcome, two-stage pumps can deliver a deeper vacuum than single-stage pumps.

What do we mean by CFM in a vacuum pump?

CFM or Cubic Feet per Minute is the measurement of air flowing through a vacuum system.

How do we choose a vacuum pump?

While choosing a vacuum pump, users should consider factors, such as vacuum level & pumping speed, process or application impact on the pump and impact of the pump on the process or application. Users should also keep a check on maintenance costs associated with the pump.

Which type of oil is used for the vacuum pump?

The oil utilised in a large rotary piston vacuum pump is a mineral oil that has been through a distillation process to decrease its vapour pressure.
